Is Equity Trading a Gambling too? And the answer is Yes. We should consider Equity trading and investing gambling if

1. We trade just buy watching TV or some YouTube channels.

2. We trade based on stock tips received from friends, office colleagues or people on social media.

3. We invest 40-50% of the total portfolio in just one stock; just to make some quick money.

4. We apply Stop Loss in equity trading just because share price is down from our buying level. We should not forget that concept of stop loss was meant only for F&O trading.

5. We trade or invest with borrowed money. We should understand that like other business or professional skills, we need to learn equity trading also properly. We should acquire enough learning and practice that to develop skills to become a successful equity trader.

Remember, anything that is done without proper learning would be considered a gambling only. This could be driving, cooking, work of electrician or the plumbing work. Can we do these work without acquiring proper skills? We know that the answer is NO. Let's become a businessman, a professional; and not a gambler. Let's be wise. Let's find 4-5 hours every week to learn everything related to Business, Financial and Technical analysis.

To make it simple and easy, you just need to watch 4-5 videos those are made over the week. It takes only 1 hour a week. Besides this, spend 3-4 hours to backtest that learning. 4-5 hours a week learning over a period of 6 months, will help you in becoming a wise and successful equity trader and investor.
